Polite Pets, it’s agents, officers, subcontractors, employees, animal parents, customers and potential customers are released from any and all liabilities for injuries to you, your pet, or any other property of yours which arise in any way out of services an/or products provided by us as a consequence of your association with Polite Pets. Every animal is an individual and may react differently.

Dogs and other animals may without warning bite or cause injury to humans and other dogs. There are certain risks involved in participating in our services, including but not limed to fights, bites to humans or other animals and the transmission of disease.

In the case of emergency, permission is being relied upon by Polite Pets to transport a pet to and from any necessary location. Accept any and all conditions, rules and regulations promulgated by Polite Pets associated with the activities, use of the equipment and transport, and hereby agree to comply with them. 

Dogs at can get dirty. Dogs with longer hair can get matted from the level of activity. Polite Pets is not responsible for coat maintenance or mats that may result.

Excessively long nails may cause injury. You will be notified if your dog’s nails are too long and need to be trimmed prior to their next visit.

There are viruses that may be transmitted and unavoidable in a dog-play environment. There is a risk of acquiring kennel cough regardless of every dog in the situation have had the vaccination. There is also papilloma, which is a wart in the mouth. Polite Pets reserves the rights to take the necessary measures to keep all dogs and owners safe from illness.

Be aware of their water intake as excessive amounts may result in an upset stomach or other problems. Decreased water intake can result in dehydration.

Any behaviour deemed excessively dangerous or inappropriate by Polite Pets may result in dismissal from further services. Cancellation fees may be applicable.

Understand and agree that in admitting your pet(s) into Polite Pets care, Polite Pets has relied on an accurate representation of your pet(s) in order to safely and appropriately proceed with services.

Certify that your pet(s) is/are in good health and has/have not be ill with any communicable disease within the last 30 days.

Polite Pets staff gives all pets involved in any type of incident a cursory examination, however, Polite Pets is not liable for the location, treatment or diagnosis of any injuries incurred while in our care. It is recommended you check your dog further or seek treatment for your pet by a licensed vet at your discretion and cost.

All pets must have up-to-date vaccinations: owners must supply proof

To keep your dog from acquiring “kennel cough”(equivalent to a cold) we insist that all dogs be immunized for kennel cough. Despite these precautions, dogs will sometimes acquire a mild bout of kennel cough.

All pets must be in good health. Parents will need to certify that their pets are in good health and have been free of any condition that could jeopardize other animals. Pets who have been ill with a communicable illness in the last 30 days will require vet certification of health to be submitted or resubmitted.

Behaviour: Some dogs may need to pass a Proprietary Behaviour Assessment for use of Polite Pets services.

Parents will need to verify if their pet(s) have, have not harmed or displayed any aggressive or threatening behaviour towards any person or any other animal. Please remember that your pet may be spending time with other pets and that their safety and health is our main priority. Keep in mind, although play is always supervised, your pet still might acquire an occasional bit, nip or scratch.

Due & payable at the end of each individual session.
Cash, cheque or e-transfer.

Packages are provided only if they are paid in advance. Pre-paid packages are non-refundable. Packages are valid 4 months from purchase date. Our program is flexible enough to accommodate reasonable special needs requests, however, appropriate fees may be applied.

Clients are responsible to cancel appointments at least 24 hours prior to said session. Without notice of cancellation outside the 24 hours there may be a 50% charge.

Cancellation of classes, boarding & pet sitting services needs to be done at least 7 days prior to the start of the class/stay. Without notice of cancellation outside the 7 days there may be a %50 charge. Only the difference would need to be paid if a down payment had already been made to Polite Pets.

Release for health info following to allow Polite Pets to speak directly to vet clinics and veterinarian about vaccinations and medical issues

Should your pet become ill or injured, authorization is given for Polite Pets to speak directly with vet clinics and veterinarian to disclose any information about vaccination status, current health status and any other information regarding illness and prognosis.

Privacy Policy

Polite Pets will not share any photo’s videos of any kind until explicit consent is given to share images and video of clients.

Give Polite Pets and any agent of Polite Pets permission to use images of you including any motion picture or still photographs made by Polite Pets agents of your likeness, poses, acts and appearances or the sound record made by Polite Pets and their agents) (“Images”) and your pet for any purposes in connection with promoting Polite Pets and its activities (the “Purposes”). Which may include advertising, promotion and marketing. Polite Pets may crop, alter or modify images of you and your pet, and combine such images with other images, text, audio recordings and graphics without notifying you. 

Understand that your personal information, including images of you, is being collected pursuant to section 26 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. R.S.B.C. 1996. C 165, for the Purposes. Consent to your pictures and video being used with the appearance of your Image and your pets. Consent to any of your personal information, which will only include images of you or your pet(s), being stored, accessed or disclosed outside of Canada for the sole purpose of promotions for Polite Pets.

No personal info such as names, addresses, phone number or email address will ever be disclosed or attached to any images used.

Shoot dates will include any and all Polite Pets events including walks, drop-ins, training sessions, classes and any other social event and professional event hosted by Polite Pets: Behaviour Training & Care.

Name of photographer includes any agent of Polite Pets.
