Dogs naturally like to dig, bark, bite, chew, & play to release energy, anxiety, and frustration! It’s when our dogs begin to find inappropriate outlets for these behaviours that they become problems.

Other common problem dog behaviours include; pulling on leash, resource guarding/aggression, leash-reactivity, separation anxiety, general anxiety, car-sickness, and aversion to being handled.

Included:

Going over the basics of dog training, understanding behaviour, proper management techniques, a brief assessment/evaluation, and relevant training exercises.

Walks

Enrichment, Socialization, & Training

Starting at $29!

Walking is a great way to enrich your dogs day both physically and mentally. During walks we work on creating positive socialization experiences and training appropriate loose-leash walking behaviours! If you don't have the time to walk your dog, or you're tired of your dog taking YOU for a walk this is a great option!

The initial walk is an orientation session where we will go over price, goals, training, and other necessary information!

Remember, the more practice, the better!

Basic Manners & Tricks Training Sessions

Behaviour consultations will:

• Help you gain a more in-depth understanding of your dog’s behaviour and sensitivities.

• Explain/demonstrate management techniques to help prevent and deescalate/interrupt unwanted behaviours.

• Explain/demonstrate exercises to help proceed with training!

Therapy Dog Training includes training more advanced, relevant behaviours like greeting groups of people, traveling, training in a variety of different locations, and more!

• This training program is offered to help prepare you and your dog for any certification/exam you are taking.

• We do not test or certify your dog for public therapy dog work.

Sessions can take place in your home, your neighbourhood, dog friendly stores, Polite Pets’ yard, or an indoor facility/daycare.
